Furthering the Conservative Movement in the Commonwealth

About

This site was started by Adam Bitely to support and advance conservative principles across the Commonwealth of Virginia. To foster and develop people’s attitudes in a positive light towards the Conservative Movement.

Conservatism is an ideology that is coveted among Americans. Many Americans, whether they know it or not, are Conservative. Many people find that they agree with the ideals of Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. However, Conservatism has been distorted over the years. Leaders of the Republican Party have formed different types of Conservatism to moderate themselves. Now we are stuck with titles like “Compassionate-Conservatism” and “Neo-Conservatism.” The term conservative has lost all meaning.

I would define myself as a libertarian.  Everyone has the right to question their Government. Should we not have the ability to get answers from the people that WE elect to represent us? Ethics, honesty, and transparency is what is needed to fix our Government.

I’m a reporter with Congressional Quarterly. I’m working on a story about the race in the Virginia 11th next year, and I was hoping to speak with Mr. Dale about his candidacy. Do you have any contact information for him or his campaign? Feel free to give me a call (202) 419-8526 or send me an e-mail. Thanks so much.

    Red Virginia,

Could you send me your email address so I can add you to the LG’s distribution list?

    Thanks.

  3. Barry Goldwater was pro-choice. Does that mean pro-lifers “will not be tolerated at Red Virginia”?

    Red Virginia,

Great piece on Amit Singh. Apologies but I was not able to find an email address on this site. Would you be interested in conducting an interview with Amit? Look forward to hearing from you.

  7. Red Virginia,

I host a conservative podcast for the internet called The Current Podcast. I know this is late notice but we’re doing a live show on Monday July 7 from 12-3pm. I’m trying to get some bloggers from swing states to come on and talk about their state in the general election. I was wondering if you’d be willing to come on and talk about Virginia.

Email me at jacobb2008 at gmail dot com, and let me know.

    thanks,
    Jacob Bodnar

    Red Virginia,

You are not alone in seeking a return to “red state status” for Virginia.

I started http://www.virginiaredstate.org immediately after the 2008 elections.

Virginia Red State will focus efforts in Hampton Roads in 2009, but we would like to expand to cover more of the Commonwealth in 2010.

    Keep up the good work!
