Does anyone remember what the auto companies did for us during the last big wars? Ford was making airplanes and shipping them out of Willow Run airport. GM was making airplane engines, tanks at the Grand Blanc plant, M1 carbines and other vehicles. Chrysler was producing a lot of tanks. The only reason we came out on top of these wars is that we able to out produce other countries. So when we think about letting these companies go and buying some other countries vehicles, look at the history. We may all need them some day.
