We are fortunate to have two great candidates. I wish Bolling would again run for Lt. Gov. so that we could have an incumbent running for that office. McDonnell and Bolling are both extremely popular with social and fiscal conservatives throughout Virginia.
McDonnell has been able to bring the House and Senate Republicans together. McDonnell has a proven record of going after criminial illegal alien sex offenders. McDonnell has a record of cutting his office budget in tough economic times. McDonnell received more votes in NOVA than Bolling did. Now that Senator Allen is no longer running, I, along with so many other Allen insurgents, support McDonnell for the GOP nomination for Governor.

I’m still torn, but I thought you had already declared for Bolling?

Sorry boys, but Creigh Deeds is going to be our next Governor.
Both, “lock ‘em up and throw away the key” McDonnell and “RTA and abuser fees” Bolling, have shown that they are the sort of Republicans who believe government should do things TO the People, but not FOR the People.
Only by returning the GOP to our roots of smaller government and more freedom for our citizens, shall our Republican Party have a chance to again win state-wide elections. When was the last time any of us heard one of our major Republican candidates talk about ENHANCING our freedom? Who among our emerging candidates has shown a dedication to creating a government that serves the People, instead of a government that is always primed to fine or levy other penalties on our citizens for some minor infraction? In recent years, Republicans, both nationally and here in the Old Dominion, have grown government and promoted greater intrusion into our lives by our secret police/DHS, resulting in a loss of our God given civil liberties.
So, unless someone new emerges to carry the GOP banner, someone who pledges to enhance our liberty and return our government to its Constitutional limits, we can all plan to say hello to Governor Creigh Deeds, because Virginians are sick and tired of Republicans who provide government ON the People, rather than government FOR the People.

I am torn by having to choose between Bill Bolling and Bob McDonnell. Both Bolling and McDonnell are great public servants with conservative beliefs. This is going to be a royal bloodbath for the Republicans, but hopefully, Bolling will run again for Lt. Governor and allow McDonnell to run for Governor. McDonnell has had some great legislative victories while in office. He has the charisma that will unify and energize the party. Bolling has also had some great legislative victories. It will be a difficult decision.

I’m tired of hearing people say that Bill Bolling should seek re-election. Bill Bolling is the Lieutenant Governor.
I hope that in 2009 Bob McDonnell will seek re-election as Attorney General to allow our Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling take the nomination of our party unhindered. While Bob McDonnell is a great leader, Bill Bolling is better.
Bill Bolling 2009!
